Inaugural Worhip Service?
by ~Aaron on Jan.22, 2009, under Not Politcally Correct

I’m sure everyone has seen the inauguration. What an event! I’m not sure what to think about it. On the one hand, it was really cool to see all the fanfare and the peaceful exchange of power. I think most of the county was actually united for a day! I wonder how long that will last! Yes, I know, I am a bit cynical and pessimistic, but, it’s my right as an American.
There are some things about the whole event that REALLY bother me. First, I commend our new President for not making an issue of color. However, the media and others that had a voice did make an issue of color. They mostly said that electing a “black” president has brought our country together. Don’t they realize that they are creating a bigger separation between black and white? They don’t need to focus on color unless they are going bring to light the fact that Obama is not black, but a mix of black and white. Now that would bring the nation together!
Another thing that I was repulsed by was the worshiping of Obama! When people are raising their hands to him (without cameras!) that is worship! I don’t care what you people think, Obama is NOT the Messiah! I’m not even convinced that he is a Christian! He claims to be a man of God, but he supports things that are directly against God. He supports abortion:”…Thou shalt not kill…”. He supports homosexuality:”…this is an abomination to Me…” as well as a long list of scripture that supports this. Those are the two that bother me the most and quite frankly, I believe that is enough. Many of you say:”Yeah, but he is going to fix the economy and that is more important.” Oh really? Money is more important than righteousness? More important than morals? More important than doing what is right? I disagree. If we follow God and do what is right, everything else will fall into place. I feel it is time for our nation to get right with God. It’s time to call a spade a spade and stop worrying about gets offended by it. It’s time for the silent majority to speak. Not in condemnation, but out of love. We need to show those who would be offended that it is not hate, fear, or a lack of understanding that keeps us from supporting the things that are involved in, but rather love and the knowledge of the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
My favorite part of the whole day was the invocation given by Rick Warren. If you haven’t seen it, you should google it! It was great!

Has Bush Kept Us Safe?
by ~Aaron on Jan.12, 2009, under Not Politcally Correct
I have been reading others thoughts about President Bush. The current debate is whether or not he did enough to keep us safe. I see that are those who will say that he did not if we should find ourselves in the midst of a terrorist attack during the next presidents term. How absurd! The fact is that we have not suffered a successful attack since 9/11! The president elect has already started putting things in place to change how we interact with the enemy and how we defend ourselves. How can anyone possibly say that if we are attacked during Obama’s term that it is Bush’s fault? Do you people really hate Bush that much? Really? Just wait, I think you will get a whole new perspective in the coming year! Tell me, what is Obama going to do to keep us safe? Do you think Obama will make a point to tell us that he prayed about the situation and he feels led to a certain action? I doubt it! I think he will make a point to ask the enemy what they think about it and tell us the politically thing to do is nothing! Unfortunately, nothing is just not enough. I hope Obama gets his nerve up, stands up for what he claims to believe in, and does what it takes to protect our country and way of life. I hope that he has a strong enough character to what it takes regardless of politics and who might get offended. I guess time will tell. For now, Bush has kept us safe on his watch.
Barack Obama Supports Israel?
by ~Aaron on Jan.05, 2009, under Not Politcally Correct
Well, I’m sure we all have some idea about what is going on in the Middle East. Israel is fighting with Hammas. I know, not a big surprise. Currently, we (the U.S.) are doing what I personally believe to be the right thing. We are supporting Israel. What will our President elect do?
It has been reported that Mr. Obama strongly supports Israel. However, this support was proclaimed publicly at a time that was very convenient for Obama during the race for the White House. Now, I won’t pretend to have first hand knowledge of Obama’s beliefs or intentions, but I will point out what we have been given as facts.
Obama is the son of an atheist, a Muslim, and the step son of a Muslim. He spent many years attending a “church” that certainly appeared to be racist and anti-American. He has made statements about the Bible saying that it just wasn’t appropriate for us to live by today (and yes, I took the context in to account). He supports legalized abortion (murder), and he supports gay rights and marriage. By the way, homosexuality is considered an abomination according the Bible.
I’ve been reading some of Obama’s speeches lately and it seems that he went to some length to convince people that he was a Christian. At the same time he talks about how important it is not to talk about it because someone might get offended. He also talks about how important it is to include atheists and Muslims in the decision making for our country. I just don’t see how a follower of Christ would come to these conclusions.
I am not judging Mr. Obama, that will be taken care of by the One who has the authority to do so. I just want to understand what it is that he actually stands for. He says he is a Christian, but he doesn’t seem to take it to heart. I hope I am wrong.
If you are familiar with the scripture in the Bible, you will understand the significance of supporting Israel. If you are not, then I encourage you to do some reading. In the meantime, realize that Israel is very relevant, and support for them is important for us, not so much for them. I hope the Mr. Obama is sincere in his claims of support, but it looks shady. I mean, he makes some heartfelt claims about supporting Israel, but is wanting to remove troops from the Middle East which would make things worse for anyone fighting terror in the region. That sure doesn’t sound like support to me! Why not join them on the ground and help them crush Hammas, the Taliban, and al-Qeada once and for all! Now that would be support!
Do I think that Israel needs our support? No, not really. I believe that God will take care of them and that what is written will happen as God has planned, regardless of what our nation does. I believe that our support for Israel has more significance for us than it does them. It would be a shame to come this far as a nation just to blow it in the end!
I think that all the fighting in the Middle East is awful. I am human, after all. I do, however, feel that we all have to take a side. The side we choose will have a big impact on our personal eternity. Realize, that we may not all be “over there” doing the fighting, but we will all choose a side. We will either choose to stay quiet and tolerant in an effort not to offend the enemy, or we will boldly speak the Truth with grace for those who don’t understand it. I hope that my decision is clear. I speak the Truth, and I am more than happy to discuss it with anyone on any level.
My Rant
by ~Aaron on Dec.27, 2008, under Not Politcally Correct
Let me first say that I am proud to be an American and I wouldn’t choose to live anywhere else!
That said, I’ll get straight to my thoughts.
We used to be a moral, God fearing country. We went wrong in so many ways! Somewhere along the way we let money become the most important thing. Our god, if you will. Our country continually bows before the almighty dollar and submits to its seduction. Frankly, I am rather appalled by it! I realize that if we would keep our priorities where they should be, everything else would fall into place.
Let’s look at the political aspects. We recently had an election. We made a historic decision based on money and color without regard for morality, issues, or experience. How stupid are we!?! We voted for a man who has been the most radical proponent for abortion (legalized murder) that has ever come through the senate! I have personally spoken with a great number of people who had no idea that Obama supported legalized abortion! They still voted for him! We voted for a man who supports homosexuality and gay marriage. This is so against the moral fiber of what we used to stand for! God said in His book (the Bible) that homosexuality is an abomination to Him! How did we miss that? It seems that the only we paid attention to was the financial promises that were made and how much personal gain we could get out of it. Have any of you noticed that none of that is happening? They have given about a two year time line before the programs that are supposed to help us are even started! How long will it take for us to see the benefits? Does anyone realize where the money for these bailouts is coming from? Start watching your taxes, I think you’ll get it!
I guess what bothers me the most is the realization that the majority of America does not think like I do! The majority of America voted against morality and for money. Plain and simple. As a nation, we don’t care about morals, we care about money. It makes me sick at my stomach! I don’t understand why so many people think that money is more important than right and wrong.
I find myself wondering why we are so tolerant of every lifestyle and religion in the interest of political correctness. We tolerate everything except Christianity! It seems to be okay to be Muslim, wiccan, atheist, progressive secularist, or anything else that is blatantly against God, but don’t dare try to pray in school, carry a Bible in the wrong place, or try to show someone the Truth! It’s just politically correct to be a Christian! Well, I am a Christian! I am willing to stand up and be counted! I am willing to speak the Truth and stand against that which is evil. I am willing to stand up for what is right and true! I make no apologies for any of this! If the truth offends you, then perhaps you need to take another look at what you stand for.
I’m not sure exactly when it happened, but at some point we put our children on the back burner and started using television as a babysitter. We took God out of our schools and our children started killing each other. We took God out of almost every aspect of our lives. I guess we are reaping our just rewards!
I hope that at some point in the near future we, as a nation, turn back to God and stop accepting the things that we know are wrong. If we don’t, I fear we are in for hard times!
I love you all, God Bless and Keep You.
~Aaron
