My Thoughts

Yes, I am done with school! It is a bit bittersweet. I am really going to miss the friends that I have made, but I am so glad to have the free time to spend with my family. Unfortunately, I will not be getting a job as a scrub tech. There are some extenuating circumstances. I am confident that it will all work out in the long run. To all my fellow new grads: I’ll miss you, please keep in touch!

Well, what to do now? I am definitely going to take a break! After that, I may go back to school to further my education. I have been thinking about going for physician’s assistant. I think I would really enjoy that, and that it would be really rewarding! I know that I like the surgical environment, so I would want to cater PA school to surgery. I guess I’ll just have to wait a bit and see the new day brings.

We had our last final today. Everyone passed! I ended the quarter with two A’s and a B. Not bad, but I could have done better. I’ll to make up for it next time.

I am starting my last two weeks of school to become a surgical technologist. I am so excited that I am almost done! Unfortunately, I seem to be getting sick at the same time. It’s mostly in my sinuses. I only have three clinical days and one more final before I am finished! The pinning ceremony will be on Friday, Dec. 12, but I will have to be at work. I think some of my classmates are going to come see me at work after the pinning. I hope so. That would be nice!

I don’t really mind missing the pinning for work. I have a wife and four children to provide for. They are my top priority! I would give the world for them!

I don’t really know what to do now that I have no more studying to do. I should be able to keep this blog updated with some regularity. I am sure that there will be posts about surgery. That is, after all, what I am in school for.
